Sponsorship Announcement – Coombabah Clippers

With the Queensland State League season quickly approaching, it’s with great excitement that we announce that the Coombabah Clippers Basketball Club are a Silver partner for season 2021.

Coombabah Clippers are one of the four original clubs within Seahawks and have seen the association grow rapidly, as well as internally in participation numbers over the past 25 years.

President for the Coombabah Clippers Basketball Club, Chris Baker, is proud that the Clippers brand is still a mainstay within the Seahawks.

“I’m an extremely proud President of the Coombabah Clippers and am ecstatic with the growth and direction of the Association has taken over the past few years” said Baker.

“We are seeing more and more kids playing within the Association and we want to not only be able to support these kids with a healthy club competition - but with this partnership, show them they have a genuine pathway to higher level Basketball just in their own backyard”

“We can’t wait for another season of State League basketball and we hope with our partnership agreement, that it helps the Association catapult to NBL1 next season”

General Manager for the North Gold Coast Seahawks, Dwayne Vale, is extremely appreciative of the support that the clubs within the association are showing towards the State League program.

“The clubs, including our newest partner in the Coombabah Clippers, now understand that the pathway for our junior players is through our senior program” said Vale.

“This support allows us to continue providing these opportunities and hopefully in the near future, cements our senior programs involvement in the NBL1 competition”
