In a key addition to the SmartSkill Seahawks Women’s QSL team, we welcome back Charli Reece to the Nest for Season 2021.
Charli has recently returned from her first season of College Basketball at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania, due to COVID19.
Standing 6’2”, Reece will be a welcome addition to the Women’s team which severely lacked size inside during season 2020.
Head Coach for the SmartSkill Seahawks Women’s side, Brad Kann, has already got to work with Reece since her return to Australia.
“Charli reached out straight away once she got home and wanted to get to work straight away” said Kann.
“Her work ethic and skillset are incredible. There’s an obvious reason as to why Charli is at a high-level College program”
“I couldn’t be more excited to have Charli on board for the season”
Reece can’t wait to get back on the floor.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to play, so to be able to play at home in front of my family again really excites me”
“It was disappointing that my first year of college was so disrupted but all I want to do right now is play, so to have the chance to do that this year is exciting”
“I can’t wait to get started”
Charli isn’t the only Reece you will see around the Nest, with Dad Matt and Mum Brooke generally sitting on a bench as Coach or Manager and little brother Mitch making his way through age groups!
Keep an eye out for more player announcements coming soon
