In exciting news for the North Gold Coast Seahawks faithful, Seahawks junior and last season’s team MVP, Jesse Lomax, returns to the Nest for the QSL season in 2021.
Lomax has been a consistent figure within the Seahawks, from starting his representative career here to now being one of the main coaches within our Swooper Hoopers program. Lomax’s passion for the club is second to none.
Head Coach, Jordan Mullan, knew the importance of securing Lomax for the season.
“Jesse is someone who has a Seahawk bloodline and has been a stalemate of the club for many years” said Mullan.
“It’s important that we continue to promote and celebrate the club’s juniors, as players like Jesse really set the foundation of what we are trying to grow”
“Jesse was a key figure of our Men’s team last season, being a focal point of our offence and leader of the group, so we will be expecting that and more from him this upcoming season.”
Lomax is ready for the challenge that lays ahead for him and the QSL squad.
“Last season was a challenge, but we took plenty of positives from it” said Lomax.
“To be able to compete against not only some of Queensland’s best players, but current NBL players and Australian Boomers, was an experience that has made us better, so hopefully we can carry that into this upcoming QSL season”
“I’ve been putting in work this offseason and want to be more consistent at the offensive end particularly”
“I’m excited to get to work with the team and get us back to where we need to be”
