The North Gold Coast Seahawks are thrilled to announce the signing of Matt Kenyon to their NBL1 North Men's team for the upcoming season. Kenyon, currently playing for the South East Melbourne Phoenix, brings a wealth of experience and skill to the Seahawks' roster.
Kenyon started his professional career as a development player at the Brisbane Bullets from 2016-18. He then spent two seasons playing with the Tasmania JackJumpers before making the move to the Phoenix.
He has also spent time in the NBA G-League with the Capitol City Go-Go, the Washington Wizards G-League affiliate.
The 196cm shooting guard, known for his defensive prowess in the NBL, has made a significant impact on the court for the South East Melbourne Phoenix, averaging 5.9 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. His tenacity and versatility have earned him recognition as an elite defender at the highest level of Australian basketball.

Kenyon expressed his excitement for the season ahead on the Gold Coast, “I’m really looking forward to getting up to the Gold Coast and getting started with the group. I think we have a good group of guys that are going to compete fiercely. That’s an area I plan to really set the tone for the group”

The Seahawks feature in the NBL1 North season opener taking on the Logan Thunder on Thursday 11th April at Logan. We hope to see a huge Seahawks crowd there to support the teams.
