Under 12 Junior Seahawks representative trials for the 2024-25 season are fast approaching. To be eligible you must be born in either 2014, 2015 or 2016 and be registered and participating in our 2025 Season 1 junior domestic competition.
Whether you are a previous representative player or new to rep basketball we want to see you there! Representative basketball involves playing against the other associations around South East Queensland for the SQJBC season on Sundays during Term 3, culminating in attendance at the U12 State Championships where you will get to take on every association in Queensland. This year the U12 Boys and Girls Championships are being hosted by the Northside Wizards (Brisbane's northside) from Septemeber 25-28.
The committment: Team training twice per week (2 x 1.5 hours), Grading Carnivals at the end of term 2 to determine which grade of competition each team will play in for their SQJBC season (could be both Saturday or Sunday), then the SQJBC season, 2 games on each Sunday, then attendance at the State Champs. You will also need to remain active in our Junior Domestic Competition, which you should already be doing anyway to be eligible to trial!
Trials start on March 16th. so get your registration in now if you want to be in the mix!
If you have played representative basketball anywhere else previously you will need a Transfer completed by BQ in order to take the court at trials. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FORM , complete your section then send to your prior association and cc: adam.galle@seahawksbasketball.com.au on the email. Once the other association signs they will send to BQ, and once they approve they will send it on to us.
