2020 Junior Club Champions

Writer: North Gold Coast SeahawksNorth Gold Coast Seahawks

We're pleased to put in place an Annual Junior Club Championship for our Southport Yacht Club Junior Basketball Competition. An award for all clubs to strive for, it is calculated in a similar fashion to how Basketball Queensland calculate their Club Championship.

We calculate Overall, Boys and Girls Champions for each of our two seasons, and then combine those results to determine an overall champion for the year.

Clubs only accumulate points for their highest ranked team in each age group/gender so there is no advantage to just simply having more teams to generate points.

For example, if there are 10 teams in U13 Girls, the team to win the Premiership would receive 10 points, Runners-Up 9 points, 3rd, 8 points and so on. If a club had their second side finish higher than another clubs first side, they would not get additional points for that team.

2020 Season 1 (19/20 Summer Season)

Boys - 1st Place - Helensvale Hurricanes, 2nd Place - Coomera City Warriors, 3rd Place - Gold Coast Wildcats

Girls - 1st Place - Coomera City Warriors, 2nd Place - Coomera Anglican College, 3rd Place - Gold Coast Wildcats

2020 Season 1 Overall - 1st Place - Coomera City Warriors, 2nd Place - Helensvale Hurricanes, 3rd Place - Gold Coast Wildcats

2020 Season 2
