2020/21 BQJBC Junior Seahawks Coaches - U16-21

We are are excited to announce our U16/U18/U21 Men & Women Teal Head Coaches for the 2020/21 BQJBC season. We have an outstanding line up of coaches with a great depth of knowledge and coaching experience at all junior levels of Basketball within Australia.

U16 Men Teal Head Coach - Matt Reece Matt Reece has an extensive playing resume' seeing him compete in the NBL for 5 different clubs during his career. He has now put up his playing boots and is investing his time developing our juniors for the past 4 years working with the U14 Boys, U18 Girls & SBL Women.

U16 Women Teal Head Coach - Rob Sleaford For everyone in the Seahawks community, Rob needs no introduction. Rob has been the associations QBL Women's Head Coach, U16 Women Queensland South Head Coach and has dedicated countless hours of his time developing players within our junior program.

U18 Girls Teal Head Coach - Dion Meha Dion brings a vast experience and extensive coaching knowledge to our Seahawks coaching team. Dion has been developing players at both the junior and senior level for the past 35 years and has been with us for a number of seasons. We are excited to have him working with this group next season!

U18 Men Teal Head Coach - Shane White In Shane's short time being in the Seahawks program he has made a big impact, positively influencing and developing our U16 Boys Teal team this past year. Shane is enthusiastic and brings a great energy to any team he works with.

U21 Teal Women Head Coach - Jackie Lear Jackie requires no introduction for everyone in the basketball circles across Australia. Jackie is currently both the U17 Australian Women's Assistant Coach & the U18 Women Queensland South Head Coach. Jackie's list of accolades and accomplishments in both playing and coaching fill the page with a few recent highlights having lead the U18 Queensland South Women to a silver medal in 2019 and this year being selected into Basketball Australia's Elite Female Coach Advancement Program.

U21 Teal Mens Head Coach - Brady Walmsley We are excited to have Brady joining the Seahawks family this upcoming season and leading our U21 Men. Brady has an extensive coaching resume' which features, Queensland North State Team Head Coach (2016 Bronze Medalist), ADC & Junior National Team Camp Coach, QBL Head Coach for both Men & Women across multiple associations and Basketball Queensland - North High Performance Manager from 2016 to 2018.
