The Southern Basketball League provides an avenue for high-level competition for young developing players, players at their pinnacle, and players who have stepped down from elite competition.

SBL runs from May to September each year, and North Gold Coast Seahawks have been competing strongly and winning championships in this competition for several years.

SBL is a strong and competitive league in its own right, and also serves as a key launchpad for young players looking to move into the QBL and beyond.
