North Gold Coast Seahawks Junior Representative teams compete in the Basketball Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (BQJBC) each Summer. The representative program is for our elite players and is the next step up from our domestic Junior Club Challenge. In order to represent the Seahawks association at representative level, players must also compete in the Junior Club Challenge.
Teams compete against associations from all over South-East Queensland as far as Toowoomba in the west, and Noosa Heads to the north. Games are played on Saturdays from 2pm, with the older age groups generally playing in to the evening.
As this is an elite program, teams train twice a week for 1.5 hours. In 2016, upon opening, training will move to the brand new $40 million dollar Coomera Indoor Stadium behind Dreamworld which has been developed for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
