Elevate your game by joining the Seahawks Elite Basketball Academy.  Designed for players committed to taking their game to the next level.

North Gold Coast Seahawks are proud to announce the opening of their Elite Basketball Academy in 2017.  Headed by coach Rob Johnson, players will be developed to their full potential focussing on range of skillsets and conditioning.  Rob Johnson has a wide range of experience having been a Basketball Skills Trainer in the Magic Basketball Training program, performed as a trainer for Professional athletes, was the 2017 Toowoomba QBL Women’s Head Coach and is a current Basketball Queensland Level 2 Certified Coach.

This program, to be held at Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, is being offered exclusively to North Gold Coast Seahawks Junior Representative players.

The Academy will focus on the following areas:

• Basketball Fundamentals
• Individual Offence & Defense
• Ball Handling
• Speed & Strength
• Footwork
• Agility
• Athleticism
• Movement
• Spatial Awareness
• Shooting Develpoment
• Basketball Fitness
• 1v1 Player Development

Seperate training groups will be formed for U16 & U18 girls and U16, U18 & U21 boys.  Each group will have 1 session per week in the initial launch and extra sessions will be added if demand is high,  Groups are limited to 12 participants to ensure that players are receiving the maximum benefit of the coaching being provided.

Session Times:

• SUNDAY
• 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – U16/U18 Girls @ Coomera Indoor Sports Centre
• 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – U16/U18/U21 Boys @ Coomera Indoor Sports Centre

Costs:

Each session is $15.  Places in sessions can be booked via email to Rob at sdc@seahawksbasketball.com.au

Academy Training Singlet:

Book and prepay for 5 Academy Sessions and receive a free Academy training singlet (normally $25).
